Pastor Bucky and Lisa's Bio-by Matt M.

Pastor Bucky and Lisa started their ministry in their early 20's.  Pastor Jack (Pastor Lisa's Brother) was the first person in their neighborhood to find a relationship with Christ and began sharing what he found immediately.  Soon after, Pastor Bucky and Lisa both came to Christ in their own unique ways.

Almost instantly they felt the calling of God on their lives.  Pastor Bucky had always been a “do-gooder”  even before he found a relationship with Christ.  While most 17 year olds were off getting into trouble, he was starting an inner city hockey league in Yonkers, NY, running community service projects, and avoiding the club and bar scene.

He eventually had a unique conversion when someone showed him by scripture that good works were not enough.  He paralleled his life to that of the rich young ruler in the Bible, and realized he fell short. Soon after getting saved, he knew that God was calling him to be not just a sports coach, but to coach God's people.

He began using principles founded on scriptue to re-invent his coaching style.  Soon after realizing this, God told him that he needed to give up his job as an architect so that he could go teach, coach, and raise his family.  He purposed to be a present father, and a mentor to students and players that didn't have anyone to look up to.

Pastor Bucky turned down a high paying architect job, and started Substitute teaching at a local high school.  God opened up miraculous doors and after a year of financial struggles and difficulties (and God meeting every need in miraculous ways)  Pastor Bucky was offered a full time job as a carpentry teacher, which eventually lead to his current job as a Construction and Facilities Management teacher.

Over the years he has used his family and his life to show his students and players God's love, and he always taught the importance of family being a major responsibility in ministry, explaining that there were those out there who don't understand the concept of God as a Father, fellow Christians as brothers because their examples of those thing may have been damaged.  Pastor Bucky and Lisa always said that people should be abe to look at our family and see how the body of Christ should work.

As for Pastor Lisa, Her experience was different than her husband's in that she always had a special relationship with God, and never really knew what it meant. After her brothers conversion she realized that he may have found the way to find the calling she always felt from God.  She showed up to church one night, and after the preacher called her from her seat and explained that she was living the life of a "Quasi-Christian" she finally understood the way to fulfilling the call on her life.

She has always had an extremely close and intimate relationship with God, and has taught on understanding the heart of God.  She has brought her understanding of intimacy with Christ to others, and helped them to connect with the Father as their "Daddy."

Over time, Lisa became a sought after Children’s church leader as well, and has developed a unique curriculum that emphasizes treating children’s church as a Part of the Church Body, not just performing babysitting services.  She often ministers to the adults with a strong prophetic and preaching annointing.

Shortly after getting saved Pastor Bucky and his now wife lisa, started working as youth and children's ministers along with Pastor Jack Yurus.  For the first 10+ years of their ministry this is what they did, ministered to youth to show them God’s plan for their life.

Early in the decade  Pastor Jack felt called of God to start a church in Westchester, NY sharing the same heart of ministering to the whole family, and promoting a healthy family unit.  God called Pastor Bucky and his family to move back to New York from Connecticut (where they lead Faith Church's children's ministry) and support Pastor Jack in his vision for a family church.  They started Hudson Valley Family Church.

Pastor Bucky was ordained as a Pastor, and served as the assistant Pastor for 5 years.  After that 5 years, God started putting the stirring in Pastor Bucky’s heart to plant a similar Church upstate.  He had known that this was his ultimate calling for many years, but saw the preparation time as important as fulfilling his calling.  After talking to Pastor Jack, he felt that it was time.

Pastor Jack sent Pastor Bucky out to Dutchess County New York, and Pastor Bucky immediately started putting roots down in the community, getting involved coaching sports, and letting his children get acquainted with the schools.  God has finally opened the doors for Pastor Bucky to open his church founded on the principles of family and working as a team to boldly bring the voice of God to this community.

Pastor Bucky has 6 children: Matthew (23) and his wife Jenel(24), Carissa(22), Robert (18), Andrew (16), Jason(5), and Lianna(3).
